Sign details: The building was constructed in 1977 for this Skating Center. This skating center opened during the prime skating rink roller age of the 70's/80's. The Crystal Palace does have a second location in North Las Vegas on Rancho built in 1981 which is ran by Larry & Judy Sandord though still under Tim Poole's company. Crystal Palace holds birthday parties, themed nights and open skate for all ages.
Sign condition: 4- has had some weathering over the ages.

Sign-specific description: On Boulder Hwy they have a roadside sign that has a yellow steel base with a yellow curved sign box that is lined with yellow incandescent light bulbs. Inside this box is a back lit plastic sign that states "Crystal Palace" in a retro 1970's/80's double lined font. Within the two words there is a red circle that showcases a navy blue pair of roller skates and then states "USA" in white letters within the red circle with two white stars on either side of it. On both sides of the building there are thin red steel words "Crystal Palace Skating Center" that is down lit by LED lights.

Sign owner: Nemo Motel LLC
Sign details: This motel was originally constructed in 1958. Their sign states "New Rooms, Daily and Weekly", so it is unclear if they renovated or if they have new rooms daily since this has been on their sign since 2007.
Sign condition: 2- Has a lot of weathering and the paint is very faded and some neon tubing is broken
Sign form: Pylon
Sign-specific description: This pylon has a red steel base. On the top there is a rusty-red rectangle with "MOTEL" spelt out horizontally in a painted white block letter font (looks as though it had skeletal neon with most of it broken on each side). Below this is a rusty-red rectangular blade sign box that has a white plastic sign in it that states "CAPRI" vertically in Red block font letters. The base behind this sign box does look like it has holes in it every few inches as a part of its design. Below this is another rusty-red sign box that has a white plastic sign that says, "New Rooms, Daily and Weekly, Free Phone- Wifi Internet-Cable T.V.- Movies" In a mid-century modern paint effect font. This sign box looks as though there once was incandescents surrounding it but are now mostly missing.

This 1979 Evel Knievel themed pizza restaurant and bar opened in late 2016. Their motto is Live Hard, Ride Fast, Eat Pizza. In the restaurant there is an Evel Knievel Pinball machine and a Stunt Cycle Game.

Sign details: Building originally constructed in 1988 for a retail store. The Beauty Bar franchise was founded in 2004 in New York City. The bar in Las Vegas used to be owned by Paul Devitt, but in 2014 is when Darin and Corey bought it and did some renovations. During the day they offer manicures/pedicures while serving cocktails, but at night function as a bar and concert venue with cool retro 1950s/60s salon style chairs and colors.
Sign condition: 3-4 During the day the sign looks faded and rusted over. At night the light does not beam as if it is a new sign either.

Sign-specific description: On the building there is a white oval shaped plastic sign saying Beauty Bar. Right above the doors there is a Salon of Beauty in channeled white block type letters. Both signs illuminate pink.

Sign details: Opened By Benny Binion 1951, and later say remodels and expansions in 1960 after the purchase of the Boulder Club and 1988 when The Mint was purchase and expanded further and doubled the size. Mr. Binion is known for popularizing the World Series of Poker and brought the game into the mainstream. Binion's Horseshoe was the first casino to put carpeting in a downtown property.

Sign details: Charlotte Richards came to Las Vegas at the age of 17, for her husband had abandoned her with 3 kids. Took a job at The Little church of the West. She married the man that helped her and that gave her the job there. After her second husband died she moved on and bought A Little White Wedding Chapel in 1967. A little White Wedding Chapel had been opened since 1951.
Sign condition: 4 - Still in relatively good condition.

Sign-specific description: This pylon sign is mainly white with splashes of red schemes particularly with the red hearts that are outlined in neon. The Two red hearts are represented underneath the name of the property in channeled rusty gold letters. The hearts have a gold ribbon rendering surrounding them also outlined in skeletal neon. The square design at the top of the sign resembling a chapel roof. Underneath the main portion of the sign is a plastic backlit sign that also has a heart on it.

Sign details: Charlotte Richards came to Las Vegas at the age of 17, for her husband had abandoned her with 3 kids. Took a job at The Little church of the West. She married the man that helped her and that gave her the job there. After her second husband died she moved on and bought A Little White Wedding Chapel in 1967. A little White Wedding Chapel had been opened since 1951.

Sign-specific description: This pylon sign is mainly white with splashes of red schemes particularly with the red hearts that are outlined in neon. The Two red hearts are represented underneath the name of the property in channeled rusty gold letters. The hearts have a gold ribbon rendering surrounding them also outlined in skeletal neon. The square design at the top of the sign resembling a chapel roof. Underneath the main portion of the sign is a plastic backlit sign that also has a heart on it.

Sign-specific description: Double sided architectural sign perched on top of the building of the El Cortez reads El Cortez HOTEL COFFEE SHOP & BAR FREE PARKING with a metal frame work to hold it high for tourists to see down Fremont Street on either side of the road or sidewalk. in the Day it looks white and baby blue with the frame work painted white. At night El Cortez glows red whit what looks like white skeleton neon outlining the wording, HOTEL is outlined with pink skeleton neon, and COFFEE SHOP & BAR FREE PARKING is made of the same pink neon as the HOTEL portion.

Sign details: The Casa Malaga resides on the east side of the strip, among the decaying roadside motels. The property is in the style of most of the motels in the area. A small office sits up front, with a drive next to it, and leading to a parking lot in the back of the property. The parking lot is surrounded on the east, north, and south sides by one story groups of rooms. The pole sign resides in the front parking lot, next to the street

Sign-specific description: The main advertisement for the establishment is the roadside pole sign which faces north /south. It consists mostly of a single white, steel pole with a double-backed steel cabinet. The cabinet is an eight-sided geometric figure, appearing as a swollen cross shape. The middle, horizontal section being larger and wider, than the cross member. The white cabinet is treated with red painted text. The top section reads "Casa," the second "Malaga," and the third reads "Vacancy." All of the texts are in capital letters lined over the contours with bent tubes of neon. Just below the top cabinet, two single-faced cabinets sandwich the pole, facing north/south. The white cabinet with white faces contains vinyl lettering. On the east and west faces of the small office up front, channel letters with clear plastic faces, a gold polished band around the edges, and maroon, and red neon on the interior.

Sign details: In 1964, Jerry Stamis and Jerry Lodge opened Jerry's Nugget Casino. The property, formerly the Towne House Bar, was converted into a casino. Four years after its opening, the owners bought the nearby Bonanza Club along with its sign, adding an additional 10,000 square feet to their property. The site has undergone numerous renovations, including in 1982 when it became a full-service casino complete with a restaurant, bars, and nearly 700 slots. The porte cochere was also added at that time. In 1996, a theatre lounge was added as well as a bakery and even more gaming tables. The casino, which celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2014. This location still claims to cater to "locals." Currently, it consists of slots, table games, keno lounge, and a bingo hall, among other popular features.
