Sign details: This sign is to pay homage to the original 1959 Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas sign, but to honor the "Boulder Strip". There are many casinos within this area of Boulder Hwy similar to our famous Las Vegas Blvd. sign.
Sign condition: 5- Very good condition and still works very good

Information about the Valley Motel sign that sits at 1313 E Fremont St.
Site address: 1313 E Fremont St
Sign details: This location was around in 1957 with a Vegas Vic Sign (picture found on Vintage Vegas). Their original sign was still up in the 1980's. Currently the motel is gated up and has been shut down for a while and most of their sign is gone.
Sign condition: 1- most of it is gone
Sign form: Roadside sign
Sign-specific description: This sign in current years before it was totally stripped had the "VALLEY MOTEL" on a blue plastic sign that stated Vegas Motel. Though now all that is left is the reader board portion. The original sign that was up in the 50's had Vegas Vic on it.

Sign environment: This location is down on the east side of Fremont Street near Maryland Pkwy. This location has many other older motels down close to it.
Sign - date of redesign/move: Sign must have changed from the older one to the reader board one in 90's or early 2000's, and in 2016 was when the lettering on the sign was taken down.
Sign - thematic influences: The old sign had Vegas Vic was staying true to the downtown 1950's Vegas neon design and theme.

Survey - research notes: Vintage Las Vegas had pictures of the original sign with the address which helped since I could not find the Valley Motel on the Assessor's page. Then google maps roadside view helped with seeing the change in the condition of the sign. Now the only part of the sign left is the reader board portion of the sign.

Sign details: The original construction year of the building was 1940. This tattoo parlor was opened by Johnny Law in the 2000s , and Johnny also doubles as a tattoo artist at this property as well. There are about 9 main tattoo artists and piercers at this parlor that is housed in the Fremont Street Experience. Since they are on the second floor on the corner of Fremont and First St. their guests can watch the zip line that goes down Fremont, but they can also watch the First Street Stage which holds concerts regularly.
Sign condition: 5-Very good condition and shines bright

Sign-specific description: Their sign is placed within the windows of their second floor storefront. There are 6 windows and each one has a big letter in each which spells out "TATTOO" in double lined red skeletal neon letters.

Sign-specific description: The roof line that they building has is a curved Moorish style, right below the roof line is a channeled "V" that contains incandescent light bulbs. Below this is black channeled block letters spelling out "THE VENUE" which illuminate a whitish gold color.

The Charles P. and Delphine Squires Papers from 1882 to 1964, with bulk dates from 1905 to 1964, contain book and short story manuscripts, articles, press releases, newspaper clippings, and radio scripts written by Squires and his wife, all relating to their early life in Las Vegas. Also included are report cards, certificates, Parent Teacher Association material, Mesquite Club records and church activity materials.

Abstract
The Julian Taber Collection on Gambling Addiction (1977-1988) includes papers, proposals, internal reports, memoranda, and newspaper articles chronicling the work of Julian Taber, an early specialist in the field of gambling addiction. The majority of the collection relates to Taber’s work and pilot programs at the Brecksville Veterans Administration (VA) Hospital in Brecksville, Ohio, with select materials pertaining to an alcohol dependency treatment program he coordinated at the VA hospital in Reno, Nevada.
