Costume design for Hallelujah Hollywood!, an MGM Grand Hotel production.
Costume Details: Long black sheath-style showgirl costume decorated with gold jewels, split skirt, and long sleeve on left side. A long fuchsia feather stole is draped over the right arm, and long fuchsia feathers curve from the back of the neck forward over the head. Both are decorated with gold jewels and long black feathers; matching cap-style headpiece.

James, Virginia, 1932-

Virginia Joyce Mooney was a dancer who performed in the Sands Hotel and Casino and the Tropicana Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. She changed her name to Virginia James when she began performing at the Sands.

Houssels, J. K., Jr. (John Kell), 1922-2017

John Kell Houssels Jr. was born in Denver, Colorado on December 11, 1922. His family moved to Las Vegas, Nevada when he was eight years old, and his father recieved one of Nevada's first gambling licenses. John Kell, also known as Ike, would follow in his father's footsteps and go on to help Las Vegas gain fame as an entertainment destination. After serving in the military and finishing his undergraduate education at West Point Military Academy in 1945, he went to law school at Stanford. After finishing his schooling, he returned to Las Vegas.

Kim You Taing, a Cambodian-Chinese refugee discusses his childhood during the Cambodian Wars, and how his family survived fleeing from village to village to escape the Rouge and gunfire occurring at that time. After a tragic incident where his two siblings died from drowning in the village river. his mother decided they need to get out of Cambodia to get a better life. His father who was Chinese would be captured and killed by the government just for being Chinese.
