Oral history interview with Jessie Emmett conducted by Irene Rostine on October 16, 1996 for the Women's Research Institute of Nevada (WRIN) Las Vegas Women Oral History Project. Emmett discusses moving from Southern California to Nevada for her husband's job at the Nevada Test Site in 1954. Emmett goes on to discuss working at the New Frontier Hotel briefly, and her eventual decision to go into real estate. Emmett then talks about creating a real estate agent training program, and about the work environment for women real estate agents. Lastly, Emmett describes her experience running her own real estate office, and the personal satisfaction the job provided.

Oral history interview with Isadore Washington conducted by Claytee D. White on February 07, 2008 for the Boyer Early Las Vegas Oral History Project. In this interview Isadore Washington discusses playing with Wayne Newton when they were children and life on the Westside and joining the sheriff's department after high school and became the first black deputy sheriff. He also discusses people and places on the Westside in the eighties, medical care for blacks as far back as the fifties, and renting a room to entertainers after he bought his first house.

Oral history interview with Jack Cathcart conducted by Debbie Pfefferkorn on March 01, 1980 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. Cathcart’s interview focuses on the transformations in the entertainment industry in Las Vegas, Nevada during World War II. He discusses the varying entertainment in hotel lounges, different dance styles, and the changes in customer service within these hotels.

Oral history interview with Denis Lee Askew conducted by Su Kim Chung on August 28, 2015 for the Boyer Early Las Vegas Oral History Project. In this interview, Askew discusses Las Vegas, Nevada in the 1950s and 1960s and his experiences working as a busboy at the Sands Hotel in the late 1960s. He discusses seeing shows and recalls watching the Copa Girls show. Later, Askew describes his band, The Universe, and talks about getting a radio show where he discusses the music scene in Las Vegas. Lastly, Askew discusses the changes in Las Vegas and talks about the Music Department at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV).

The J.W. Sligar Land Surveying Notebooks (1973-2002) consist of notebooks with measurements, boundaries, construction calculations, and mapping for land surveys of Southern Nevada, principally the Las Vegas Valley. Projects concern both public and private entities. The notebooks were created as a part of J.W. Sligar's work with ALCA Engineering and and Surveying, Inc, as well as for his own company, J.W. Sligar Surveying.
