Jack Leavitt was a land surveyor, engineer, and real estate developer in Southern Nevada who worked mainly in Las Vegas, Nevada. Leavitt was born on March 9, 1924 in Bunkerville, Nevada to Mike and Estella Leavitt. Leavitt graduated from Las Vegas High School in 1942 and attended the Heald Engineering College in San Francisco, California. After leaving college, Leavitt acquired work from an engineering firm in Nevada, but later quit to work for the Pioneer Title Insurance and Trust Company in Las Vegas, Nevada, where he was employed for ten years.

Hired in 1985, Joyce Nelson-Leaf developed and headed the Educational Equity Resource Center (EERC) at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. The EERC intended to encourage students to explore non-traditional careers, challenge gender bias in classrooms and workplaces, and encourage young women to seek vocational training.The EERC opened in the summer of 1989 and closed on June 30, 2000.

The David Schmoeller Papers (approximately 1979 to 2019) contain materials related to his time as a University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) Film Department professor and award-winning film director. Materials include Spring Flicks Festival and UNLV Short Film archive documentation and film submissions, books related to directing, and course syllabi and handouts. The papers also contain copies of some of his many films including Puppet Master, Little Monsters, Please Kill Mr. Kinski, and Crawlspace, as well as some related promotional material. Also included in the collection are scripts written by Schmoeller, fellow faculty member Sean Clark, and graduate students. The born-digital materials remain unprocessed but are likely short film submissions.

Oral history interview with Bradley Rothermel conducted by Claytee D. White on July 31, 2006 for the UNLV @ 50 Oral History Project. Rothermel discusses his career as a coach for the Chicago Cubs and athletic director at the University of Nevada Las Vegas (UNLV) from 1981 to 1990, as well as the history of the athletic programs at UNLV.
