Born in 1898, Edward Bartlett Cormack wrote his first play as a nineteen year-old college student before taking a job as a newspaper reporter. In 1927, he wrote The Racket as a stage play; a year later he created the silent screen version of the story for Howard Hughes. The film was nominated for a best picture award in 1929. Bartlett would go on to write twenty-five plays and screenplays before his death in 1944.

Goodall went to college to become a teacher, and her freshman year met a young sophomore gentleman by the name of Pat Goodall. Dr. Darville Knowles was born September 11, 1948 in Miami, Florida. His mother and father were schoolteachers in Dade County, Florida. After their divorce in 1962, Knowles’ mother relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada with her two sons and took a teaching position there. Knowles graduated from college and attended Howard University and Stanford University Medical School and completed his internship at the Jewish Hospital of St. Louis, Missouri. Dan Wilkes, a family friend and pathologist in Las Vegas, convinced Knowles to look at Las Vegas for job opportunities.

William Carl Geagley was a civilian observer at the Nevada Test Site during Operation Plumbbob from June 8, 1957 to June 30, 1957. Born July 21, 1890, Geagley graduated from Michigan State College in 1913 with a B.S. in Sciences and Agriculture. A high school science and agriculture teacher, he later worked as a chemical researcher and Chief of the Clinical Laboratory Division of the Michigan Department of Agriculture. In the 1950s he was appointed as a regional Civil Defense Coordinator for the Lansing, MI area.

Bruce Lee Wilhelm was born on September 13, 1933, in Akron, Ohio. Bruce married his first wife Elizabeth on August 11, 1957, and they were married until her death on April 20, 1990. Bruce married his second wife, Mary, on March 15, 1992. Bruce had three children: John, Chad, and Lee.
Wilhelm was enlisted in the United States Marine Corps from 1953 to 1954.

Geroge Robert Maynard Sr. was born on January 25, 1935, in Bellwood, West Virginia. George married Theresa on September 7, 1957, and they had three children: George R. Maynard Jr.; John Thomas Maynard; and Timothy Alan Maynard.
Maynard took two years of welding technology courses and two years of aircraft maintenance technology courses in college.
Maynard was enlisted in the United States Army from 1953 to 1957. Maynard was also enlisted in the United States Air Force from 1958 to 1974.
