Oral history interview with Ann McGinley conducted by Claytee White on August 01, 2006 for the UNLV @ 50 Oral History Project. McGinley discusses her careers working as a lawyer and teaching at several law schools before coming to teach at the Boyd Law School at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in 1999.

McClure, Florence
Florence McClure worked on behalf of women in Las Vegas, co-founding the organization Community Action Against Rape (CAAR) and advocating for incarcerated women. Born Florence Alberta Schilling in Centralia, Illinois on September 26, 1919, she attended MacMurray College for Women before transferring to Hardin Business College where she graduated in October 1941.

LeFors, Jerry, 1921-2008
Jerry LeFors, from the "Greatest Generation," was born in Oklahoma in 1921 and attended grade schools in West Texas. He graduated from high school in Lawton, Oklahoma in 1938 and then continued his education at Cameron Junior College in Lawton, where he graduated in 1940.
While in college he enjoyed playing the drums and had his own dance band in addition to his studies. He also became enamored with flying aircraft and became a Civilian Flight Instructor in Illinois in 1941, following graduation.

Chelsy Carter oral history interview
Oral history interview with Chelsy Carter conducted by Jerwin Tiu and Stefani Evans on October 17, 2022 for the Reflections: The Las Vegas Asian American and Pacific Islander Oral History Project. In this interview, Chelsy Carter recalls her childhood growing up on a Norfolk, North Virginia military base in a predominately white community. Carter recounts becoming pregnant and getting married at a young age, and later divorcing and moving back with family. After moving back with her parents, Carter began working as a piano instructor, and as Carter gained a bit more flexibility she moved in the technical industry for small company in the Navy. After obtaining a masters degree in Humanities, Carter went on to work for the first digital weather website companies, and eventually became Vice President of Services and Support and Knowledge Management at Gannett. Carter discusses encountering both discrimination as someone with Filipino heritage and as a woman in her industry. After retirement, Carter and her husband moved to Las Vegas, Nevada where they now volunteer in many organizations, including the Jazz Outreach Initiative and Three Square.

Oral history interview with Kevin Chung conducted by Cecelia Winchell, Stefani Evans, and Jerwin Tiu on December 18, 2021 for Reflections: The Las Vegas Asian American and Pacific Islander Oral History Project. Kevin Chung discusses his upbringing in Southern Vietnam and how he and his family were forced to leave the country during the Vietnam War. Chung talks about his family's migration to Minnesota and how they adapted to American culture. He shares his educational background, his professional pursuits as a teacher, and the reasons he and his wife decided to move to Las Vegas. Chung reflects on the importance of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) in education with an emphasis on the arts and shares his teaching philosophy. He also gives details of his family's lives and talks about the importance of bringing together his Vietnamese and American cultures to connect the different generations of his family.

Oral history interview with Chris Lee conducted by Cecelia Winchell and Stefani Evans on December 14, 2021 for Reflections: The Las Vegas Asian American and Pacific Islander Oral History Project. Judge Chris Lee reflects on the lives of his parents, their occupations and experiences during the Korean War, and his family's decision to immigrate from Incheon, South Korea to Las Vegas. He recalls memories from his childhood visiting family in Korea, Korean traditions and food, his educational pursuits, and the livelihood of his parents after immigrating. Chris also shares details of his employment history as Deputy District Attorney for the Clark County District Attorney's Office, as Deputy Secretary of State for Southern Nevada, as the first Asian American elected to the Clark County Justice Court bench, and presently as Judge in Department 1 of the North Las Vegas Municipal Court.
