Joseph Pavlikowski was born in Pennsylvania to Anna Sarada and Casmire Pavlikowski on March 25, 1928. He received his Bachelor of Arts from St. Bonaventure University and Doctor of Laws from the Washington (D.C.) College of Laws. He served in the United States Air Force from 1950 to 1954 as a fighter pilot in the Korean War. He lived in Las Vegas, Nevada and married Betty Cummings.

Florence "Flossie" Vallen was born on November 21, 1930 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She was married to Jerry Vallen and supported him as the founding Dean of the Hotel Administration College at University of Nevada, Las Vegas. She also found the Friends of the Library in 1967, and coordinated with other Las Vegas organizations such as the Assistance League of Las Vgeas. She later opened the Olde County Corner Antique Store in Las Vegas. Vallen died on May 31, 2017.

Wendell D. Weart was born on September 24, 1932, in Brandon, Iowa. Wendell had three children from his first marriage: Brian, Kathleen, and Craig. Wendell married his second wife Leanne on August 8, 1981, and they had three children: Heather, Scott, and Randy.
Weart earned a bachelor of arts degree in geology and a bachelor of arts degree in math (1953) from Cornell College in Iowa. Weart obtained his doctor of philosophy degree in geophysics (1961) from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

In this interview, Brislin discusses her family background and upbringing in Redwood City, California. She remembers moving to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1991, her involvement in the Jewish community, and going on a trip to Israel. Brislin talks about joining the Anti-Defamation League, becoming the Regional Director of the organization in 2015, and her mentors at the time. Lastly, Brislin discusses the rise of hate acts towards minority groups across the country, and the issue of cyber-bullying.
