Oral history interview with Lily Teo conducted by Stefani Evans on February 7, 2022 for Reflections: The Las Vegas Asian American and Pacific Islander Oral History Project.

Lily Teo discusses her upbringing in Singapore, her education, her religious beliefs, and converting from Buddhism to Catholicism. She talks about her husband, her early married years, and what life was like as a young mother of three children. Teo shares how she started a catering business to feed construction workers and was responsible for shopping for ingredients, preparing all meals and tea, and cooking the food on site in her temporary kitchen. She talks about her children, the faiths they practice and languages they speak including English, Malay, and Mandarin, and the customs and traditions they practice, such as celebrating Lunar New Year and other holidays. Lily's daughter, Stella, sits in on the interview and expands on her mother's recollections.

Oral history interview with Arturo Amaya conducted by Laurents Banuleos-Benitez, Barbara Tabach and Genoveva Yuli Amaya on December 05, 2018 for the Latinx Voices of Southern Nevada Oral History Project. Arturo Amaya discusses his early life in Peru, sharing stories of his family history and early life. He recalls his education and law school in Peru, as well as his legal career. Amaya was elected into to district attorney, and he discusses his experiences working in the criminal justice field in Peru. After visiting his brother in Las Vegas, Nevada, Amaya decided to immigrate with his family to Las Vegas in 2003. In Las Vegas, Amaya is a painter by trade, but was instrumental in establishing the Peruvian Association in Las Vegas. Genoveva Yuli Amaya also participates in the interview. Genoveva shares more of the Amaya family history from her point of view. She also shares her knowledge of Peruvian cultural traditions.

Oral history interview with Doris Merolle, Alan Rosenberg, and David Rosenberg conducted by Claytee D. White on December 19, 2018 for the Boyer Early Las Vegas Oral History Project. In this interview, Merolle discusses her early life in Holland and moving to the Bronx, New York in 1945. Brothers Alan and David Rosenberg met their sister Doris Merolle for the first time in 2018. Alan and David talk about their education in New York, their employment as cab drivers, and Alan’s decision to become a nurse. David remembers researching the genealogy of his family and realizing that Merolle was related through their father. Merolle describes moving to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1986, her employment at the Circus Circus Hotel and Casino, and being unable to make Las Vegas her home. Lastly, Merolle and the Rosenberg brothers discuss the difference between the neighborhoods in the Bronx and in Las Vegas.
