The collection is comprised of Dr. Charles L. Adams' committee, senate, and association meeting minutes, correspondence, and records from 1960 to 1988 collected while he worked in both the Department of English and the Graduate Studies division of Nevada Southern University (NSU) and the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV). The collection documents the establishment of the graduate studies program at NSU before it was UNLV. The collection also includes early information about the Department of English including memoranda and course schedule planning.

Oral history interview with Frank Mathews conducted by Pat Kohlman on December 07, 1975 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. In the interview, Mathews discusses his life as a teacher at J. D. Smith Middle School in Las Vegas, Nevada from 1953 to 1975. He discusses traveling through the city during its early stages of growth, employment, and home construction in various Las Vegas Valley locations including Lorenzi Park (currently known as Twin Lakes), Hyde Park, and North Las Vegas, Nevada.

Oral history interview with Tom Warden conducted by Claytee D. White on September 29, 2015 for the Building Las Vegas Oral History Project.. In this interview, Warden discusses his early life in Allen Park, Michigan. He talks about the history of the Summerlin residential community in Clark County, Nevada, the construction of Summerlin Parkway, and the development of infrastructure in that area. Warden describes the planning that goes into creating communities, and describes what the “Summerlin lifestyle” means. Later, Warden talks about the development of Downtown Summerlin, the schools in Summerlin, and serving on the School Community Partnership Council. Lastly, Warden discusses future goals of the Howard Hughes Corporation.

Oral history interview with Melody Stein conducted by Barbara Tabach on August 16, 2016 for the Southern Nevada Jewish Heritage Project. Stein discusses teaching at the Hebrew Academy and Adelson Educational Campus. She also discusses Jewish art and various forms and mediums of art. She then talks about her involvement with the local Polymer Clay Guild and their various projects.

In this interview, Gale discusses her family background in Las Vegas, Nevada. She talks about her educational experience in Las Vegas, being a Rhythmette, and remembers living in London, England. Lastly, Gale describes her involvement with the Animal Foundation, water conservation, and experiencing the growth of Las Vegas.
