The UNLV College of Fine Arts presents the 11th Annual Nevada Entertainer/Artist Hall of Fame honoring artist Tim Bavington; vocalist and musician Sue Kim; and jazz vocalist Joe Williams (posthumously) during a ceremony in the Student Union Ballroom March 27, 2014 at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas Also being recognized are June Brennan, who receives the College of Fine Arts Dean's Medal, and musician (drummer for The Killers) Ronnie Vannucci, the College of Fine Arts Alumnus of the Year. Abstract

The Arnold Shaw papers (1927-2006) contain correspondence, newspaper articles, journal entries, promotional materials, and photographs. Shaw was a prolific writer and his papers also include articles, short stories, plays, and biographies written by him. In addition there are proofreader's notes, research material, and scratch copies for each of his fourteen books. The collection also contains papers from the various vocal groups and companies under contract with Shaw's music company, Mansion Music. Sheet music, some of which was written and produced by Shaw, assorted printed materials, and sound reels are also included.

Abstract

The Sin Sity Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence Records (2005-2025) contain organizational records of the Sin Sity Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, an LGBTQ+ charity and advocacy organization in Las Vegas, Nevada. The records include agendas and meeting minutes, financial records, press material, awards, and certificates of appreciation for the organization. Also included are financial records for the organization's annual Red Dress charity fundraiser and the Sisters AIDS Drug Assistance Program (SADAP), the grant fund that provides financial assistance to AIDS/HIV patients. Materials also include photographs of the Sin Sity Sisters at events including their annual Red Dress gala.
