Black and white image of Ray Lyman Wilbur, Secretary of the Interior, at a ceremony which inaugurated construction on the Boulder City branch of the Los Angeles and Salt Lake Railroad, signaling the beginning of the Boulder Canyon Project, later known as Hoover Dam. From left to right, the men pictured include: Senator Key Pittman of Nevada; Governor Fred Balzar of Nevada; Carl Gray, President of Union Pacific Railroad system; Secretary Wilbur holding the Nevada silver spike; and Senator Tasker L. Oddie of Nevada. Note: Boulder Dam was officially renamed Hoover Dam in 1947.

From the Nye County, Nevada Photograph Collection (PH-00221) -- Series IV. Pahrump, Nevada -- Subseries IV.G. Brown Family (Tecopa-Pahrump). Believed to be the old Pahrump Store. Until a window was constructed to the left of the double doors, a post office was housed there, on the left side of the building’s interior. Individuals pictured are unidentified. Woman may be Clara Lee, daughter of Phi Lee.

Promotional video for Stardust Hotel and Resort showing amenities including the pool, dining options, interior of hotel rooms, sports and gaming, and various entertainment programs available; voiceover describing everything while short clips show onscreen, ends with a phone number to call; same ad runs twice. Second segment is promotional video for the Meadows Mall Christmas display with the slogan of "Meadows Mall means Christmas"; second segment appears to be b-roll for the same Christmas village promotional video with music playing over the same shots of the holiday display. Third segment is Monte Hale appearing in a promotional video for the Frontier Hotel; he walks through the hotel, dining, entertainment options while in Western-style clothing and at times, riding a horse. Local news segments on the Stardust's "old-time gambling museum" which houses a $3 million dollar collection put together by Boyd Gaming and part of a larger renovation. First segment interviews Ralph Purnell, Stardust General Manager, who explains why the museum was put together as a new attraction, comparing it to Imperial Palace's car collection. In the second segment, Sam Boyd is seen leading the first tour through the museum. A brief history is provided on gaming and gambling, while stills of early Las Vegas are shown. Purnell speaks again on why the museum was created. The third segment the interior of the museum and artifacts around the museum. Interview with E. J. Cummins talks about hiding these artifacts while it was illegal, and the reporter speaks with historians about various early gaming machines.
