In this interview Marta Sorkin discusses her family and her experience moving to California, and then to Las Vegas, Nevada. Sorkin talks about working at the James R. Dickinson Library at University of Nevada, Las Vegas and later in Lied Library, and helping to implement and update various databases. She briefly discusses her involvement with Hillel and the Jewish Federation of Las Vegas.

Oral history interview with Marcia Washington conducted by Claytee D. White on February 14, 2013 for the African Americans in Las Vegas: a Collaborative Oral History Project. In this interview Marcia Washington discusses moving to Las Vegas, Nevada at age thirteen and only attending black only schools. She talks about fun times from her childhood, her family life after getting married in 1972, and becoming the first African American on the State Board of Education in 2000.

Oral history interview with Daniel Connell conducted by Shirley Emerson on November 18, 2013 for the West Charleston Neighborhoods: An Oral History Project of Ward 8. In this interview Daniel Connell discusses moving to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1954, marrying his wife Linda after returning from the military, and moving to the Westleigh neighborhood of Ward 1 in 1973. He also talks about his family life, the state of his neighborhood throughout the years, and being hired by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.

Oral history interview with Nanyu (Nelson) Tomiyasu conducted by Samantha Kerwin on April 30, 1986 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. Tomiyasu discuses life, changes, and politics in Las Vegas, Nevada. Tomiyasu also talks about the organizations he was a part of, including The Southern Nevada Landscaping Contractors Association, and The Southern Nevada Urban League. The interview concludes with Tomiyasu recalling the above ground atomic test, and World War II.

In this interview, Lowman discusses the evolution of the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts in Southern Nevada and his experiences working for Nevada Power. Lowman also discusses the challenges Nevada Power faced in keeping up with the growing energy demands of a rapidly expanding population. Finally, Lowman talks about working in the Nevada state legislature.
