Rhodes, Dell Ray
Dell Ray Rhodes was born February 26, 1947 and was raised in Louisiana. When her grandmother fell ill in 1950, Rhodes’ mother wanted to nurse her and made a temporary visit to Las Vegas, Nevada. She remained, and this is how three-year-old Rhodes came to live in the Las Vegas area. The family resided on the Westside where she attended Westside Elementary School, Madison Elementary School, Jim Bridger Middle School, and graduated from Rancho High School. Rhodes married young and worked a variety of jobs between the births of her seven children.

Siefert, Tona, 1924-1996
Tona Cashman was born in Las Vegas, Nevada to Leah Barker and James Cashman, Sr. on September 23, 1924. She competed in beauty pageants and won both Miss Las Vegas and Miss Helldorado in 1941. She graduated from Las Vegas High School and attended finishing school in Missouri. She later attended Sawyers School of Business in Los Angeles, California. She married Robert L. Margison, but the couple divorced and she married Charles Henry Siefert. Siefert was a prominent banking executive in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Knowles, Darville, 1948-
Dr. Darville Knowles was born September 11, 1948 in Miami, Florida. His mother and father were schoolteachers in Dade County, Florida. After their divorce in 1962, Knowles’ mother relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada with her two sons and took a teaching position there. Knowles graduated from college and attended Howard University and Stanford University Medical School and completed his internship at the Jewish Hospital of St. Louis, Missouri. Dan Wilkes, a family friend and pathologist in Las Vegas, convinced Knowles to look at Las Vegas for job opportunities.

McCurdy, Greg, 1961-
Greg McCurdy is a native Las Vegan who was born February 09, 1961 and raised in West Las Vegas, Nevada with his five siblings. Though he was young at the time, he remembers the turmoil of the late 1960s in Las Vegas and the local Civil Rights Movement.
Growing up, McCurdy loved playing baseball but also mowed lawns and worked at the McDonald's restaurant on Bonanza Street. At the age of 22, in 1983, he joined the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.

O'Donnell, Alfred Joseph, Jr., 1922-2015
Alfred J. O'Donnell was born November 8, 1922 in Boston, Massachusettes. He worked as a technician, opening the laboratory of EG&G, formally known as Edgerton, Germeshausen, and Grier, Inc., in Las Vegas, Nevada in support of the Nevada Test Site. He was part of a four-man party responsible for final checks and connections of 1968 nuclear and hydrogen bombs. He died on April 9, 2015.

Dejong, Michael
Michael DeJong was born March 22, 1969 and grew up in Michigan. He moved to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1990 at the age of 21. DeJong graduated from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and entered the casino industry as a pit clerk at The Mirage Hotel. He also worked as a floor representative for Club Mirage, the casino’s players club, before going into the Management Association Program which allowed him to learn about and transition into supervisory roles.

Provance, Will
Will Provance was born in Mississippi and grew up mostly in St. Louis, Missouri, where he earned his undergraduate degree at the University of Missouri before earning a Master’s in Business Administration from Shiller University. Provance attended the University of Nevada, Las Vegas where he earned a Master of Science in Hotel Administration. He started in the gaming industry as a pool manager at Sunset Station, and became slot analyst before entering Station Casinos’ management development program.

Sheldon, Connie Hill
Connie Hill Sheldon was born November 16, 1944 in Oklahoma and spent her early years in southern California before moving to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1956 with her family. In Las Vegas, Sheldon and her siblings attended Sunrise Acres Elementary School before going to Rancho High School, and the family was active with Homesite Baptist Church. While she was at Rancho High, Sheldon worked at the Huntridge Theater, and she continued working there after she graduated. In 1968, Sheldon married fellow Rancho Class of 1962 classmate, Clyde, in Goldfield, Nevada.

Landau, Ellis
Ellis Landau is a member of the board of trustees of the Nathan Adelson Hospice in Las Vegas, Nevada. He is the former Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Boyd Gaming Corporation and served as a financial executive in the gaming and hospitality industries for more than thirty years. In 2006 Landau was honored as "Man of the Year" by Temple Beth Sholom in Las Vegas. He served as the temple's president from 2009 to 2010 and is a founder of its Warsaw Memorial Garden.
