Abstract

The Nevada Division of State Parks Records consist of materials produced or collected between 1863 and 1978 by the Nevada Division of State Parks. The collection includes materials recovered at Spring Mountain Ranch belonging to the Kiel, George, and Wilson families. The majority of the collection consists of administrative records and correspondence from the Nevada Division of State Parks. It also contains a photograph album of images taken during excavation efforts at the Pueblo Grande de Nevada archaeological site.

Ostler Stout-Hall, Margaret

Margaret Ostler Stout-Hall moved to Las Vegas in 1951, when she was twelve and her father bought Las Vegas's Seven-Up Bottling Company. She grew up in Rancho Circle and went to Las Vegas high School, where she became a Rhythmette. Margaret went to work doing scheduling for Senator Harry Reid after she lost her husband and sons in an airplane accident.

Transcribed from attached press release: "HUGHES TEST-PILOTS SECOND XF-11. CULVER CITY, Calif., April 5. Preparatory to making its first flight test today, Howard Hughes, famed flier-industrialist, is shown in the cockpit of the second XF-11 sister ship to the plane in which he almost lost his life in an accident last July 7. Hughes designed and built the ship, one of the world's fastest long-range reconnaissance planes for the Army Air forces in conjunction with the Air Materiel Command engineers."
