Oral history interview with Ralph Denton conducted by Dennis McBride on June 05, 2007 for the Las Vegas Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender Archives Oral History Project. In this interview, Denton discusses Fred Alward, Lieutenant Governor of Nevada in the 1930s, and his political campaign running for Governor in 1938. Oral history interview with Norman Ty Hilbrecht conducted by Claytee D. White on August 29, 2000 for the Boyer Early Las Vegas Oral History Project. Hilbrecht begins by describing his upbringing in Las Vegas, Nevada during the 1940s, popular locations in the city such as the Huntridge Theater, and his service in the United States Army. Hilbrecht explains how he became a lawyer with an independent practice after returning to Las Vegas from the Army in the 1950s. He also expands upon how he became a state assemblyman and state senator and describing his experiences during his political career. Throughout the interview, Hilbrecht expands upon different aspects of life in Las Vegas, including local events such as the Helldorado parade, the transition to corporate controlled casinos from private ownership, and race relations in the city.

Oral history interviews with Robert List conducted by Claytee D. White on December 10, 2018, January 11, 2019, May 3, 2019, May 7, 2019, and June 12, 2019 for the Boyer Early Las Vegas Oral History Project. In this interview, Robert List, former Governor of Nevada and Nevada Attorney General, recounts his early life and his summers spent on a family ranch in Northern Nevada. List details moving to Carson City in 1951, eventually practicing law, and recounts various experiences leading up to his political career. He elaborates on the events that happened during and after his term, including his involvement in an operation to clear the Mob out of many Las Vegas, Nevada hotels, such as the Tropicana, the Stardust, and the Riviera. List explains how his term helped Las Vegas move away from the influence of organized crime.

The Mike Smith Editorial Cartoons (1980-2023) contain editorial cartoons created by Las Vegas, Nevada based cartoonist Mike Smith for the Las Vegas Sun newspaper. Materials include Smith's editorial cartoons on NASCAR and a copy of his 2003 book StockcarToons. The collection also includes Smith's personal sketchbooks and letters from fans.

Oral history interview with Dr. James B. McMillan conducted by Perry Kaufman on April 14, 1972 for the UNLV University Libraries Oral History Project. In the interview, McMillan discusses his childhood in Aberdeen, Mississippi and his parents' experience with racial discrimination. He then talks about his own experiences with racial discrimination while living in Las Vegas, Nevada. McMillan recalls his involvement with the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), and the tension between community leaders and local politicians including Pat McCarran and John Russell. McMillan discusses integration and white power structures and how they affect the Black community in Las Vegas. Lastly, he discusses his relationship with other Black activists and figures in the community, including Dr. Charles West, Bob Bailey, Lubertha Johnson, and Mabel Hoggard.
