Abstract

The Lohan School of Shaolin Records (1994-2025) document the activities of the Lohan School of Shaolin, a traditional Chinese martial arts school, based in Las Vegas, Nevada. The majority of the materials include digital photographs and videos documenting the Lohan School's Lion dance performances for Chinese New Year and other local celebrations around Las Vegas. Materials also include the Lohan School's kung fu student manuals, class schedules, and copies of the school's newsletter. There are also digital photographs documenting candid moments with the Lohan School students and staff during classes at the school and at different events including Lion dance performances and social events.

Las Vegas High School, grades K-8: photograph

Date
1924
Description
Las Vegas School, grades K-8, 1924. Las Vegas School previously housed all grades, including high school students in a separate wing during the early 1900s. Research suggests that the high school was later separated into a different building. That school, named Clark County High School and then renamed Las Vegas High School, was constructed in 1917.
