William E. Ferron Family Papers
The William E. Ferron Family Papers (1917-1976) are comprised of materials that document the lives of the Ferrons, one of the pioneer families of early Las Vegas, Nevada. It includes biographical material, speeches, and ephemera on patriarch William E. Ferron and his wife, Mary Ruth Cooper Ferron, as well as their two daughters, Barbara Ferron Doyle and Shirley Elizabeth Ferron Swanson.

Harrah’s Entertainment Corporate Archives
The Harrah’s Entertainment Corporate Archives (dating from 1811 to 2004 with the bulk of the materials dating from 1940 to 2000) contain the promotional and corporate files of Harrah’s Entertainment Inc. and its predecessors, as well as Bill Harrah’s personal papers and card game collection. The materials were compiled and developed as a corporate archive by Harrah's Entertainment, Inc.’s Corporate Communications Department. The collection is primarily comprised of casino and employee periodicals, reports, manuals, promotional files, ephemera, and newspaper articles that document Bill Harrah’s casinos in Reno, Nevada and Lake Tahoe as well as Harrah’s Inc., Holiday Inns, Inc., Holiday Corporation, the Promus Companies, and Harrah’s Entertainment, Inc. Also included are photographs that document the construction of Harrah’s properties, business operations, the people who worked and performed at Harrah’s properties, and Bill Harrah’s automobile collection. The collection also contains Bill Harrah’s collection of playing cards and card games. Also included are photographs of the Harrah family.

Robert Scott Hooper Photographs
The Robert Scott Hooper Photographs (approximately 1950-2018) consist of photographic negatives, positives, slides, prints, Polaroids, business records, correspondence, drawings, audiovisual material, and ephemera. The collection was created by prolific photographer Robert Scott Hooper and his longtime business partner and wife, Theresa Holmes. The couple's life and business was based in Las Vegas, Nevada. Hooper's work focused on the female form, encompassing many areas of interest including sexual entertainment, modeling, pornography, and Las Vegas entertainment. Hooper was a contributing photographer with Playboy and Vegas Visitor magazines. Hooper also photographed many celebrities, Las Vegas production shows, notable events like hotel implosions, and the development of the Las Vegas Strip, including early time-lapse work of the Luxor Hotel and Casino and The Venetian.

Peter Collins Papers on International Gaming
The Peter Collins Papers on International Gaming (1974-2010) consist of materials collected or written by Professor Peter Collins on legalized gambling. The collection includes research papers, industry and government reports, and media reports on the development, legality, economics, and ethics of legalized gambling. Most of the materials focus on gambling in the United Kingdom; the balance of the material covers South Africa, Canada, the United States, the European Union, Australia, some Asian-Pacific nations, and materials not specific to location.

Ron Lurie Papers
The Ron Lurie Papers are primarily comprised of photographs, newspaper clippings, and daily planners from 1972 to 1990 that document Ron Lurie's political career as a city councilman and a mayor of Las Vegas, Nevada. The collection also includes a small amount of correspondence and ephemera, mainly letters that were mailed to Lurie along with photographs. The photographs in the collection depict events and activities that Lurie participated in, and the newspaper clippings document city and state politics in addition to Lurie's political career.

Wengert Family Photographs
The Wengert Family Photographs (1890-1966) depict the lives of the Wengert family. In addition are materials focusing on day-to-day activities such as holiday celebrations, family milestones, and some Southern Nevada Power Company employees. Although there are chronological gaps in the materials, particularly in the early years of Cyril and Lottie’s lives, the images provide historical documentation of this Las Vegas family.

Robert H. Crabtree papers, 1920 to 1999
The Robert H. Crabtree papers (1920-1999) sub-series contains an extensive account of Crabtree's career as a professor and archaeologist. Materials includes correspondence, photographic prints and negatives, reports, and notes of archeological surveys and excavations done in Southern California, Southern Nevada, Washington, Oregon, and Mexico. Collection includes resources such as field catalogs, proposals, newsletters, annual reports, workflow documentation, conference materials, and meeting minutes from various archaeological and anthropological societies and organizations. The subseries also includes class notes, dissertation drafts, and manuscripts used by Crabtree during his academic career. Digital files include field notes and reports.
