Oral history interview with Dean Ishman conducted by Claytee D. White on July 02, 2009 for the Boyer Early Las Vegas Oral History Project. In this interview Dean Ishman discusses moving to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1995, becoming the President of the Las Vegas chapter of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) in 2003, and reorganizing the NAACP when he was president. He also discusses the numerous fundraisers he attended, Freedom Fund banquets, the Suave Lopez shooting, and efforts to recruit Hispanic people to the NAACP during his presidency.

Oral history interview with Marie Horseley conducted by Suzanne Becker on June 13, 2007 for the Voices of Historic John S. Park Neighborhood Oral History Project. In this interview Horseley discusses marrying her husband, moving to Las Vegas, Nevada into the historic John S. Park neighborhood, and the state of the neighborhood when she moved there. She also discusses how she used to know all of her neighbors no matter their background, the changes in the neighborhood, and how she would never relocate to a different house.

Oral history interview with Nancy Houssels conducted by Claytee D. White on March 19, 2014 for the West Charleston Neighborhoods--an Oral History Project of Ward 1. Houssels discusses going to school at Berkley University and the University of California Los Angeles, and then migrating to Las Vegas, Nevada. She discusses dancing at the Dunes Hotel and later at the Tropicana Hotel and Casino where she met her husband. She then discusses her part in starting the Nevada Dance Theatre and being a “prime mover” in the Smith Center for the Performing Arts.

Oral history interview with Agnes Lockette conducted by Shannon Smith on February 26, 1980 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. In this interview, Lockette discusses her time as a professor at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, the early childhood education program she was responsible for developing, and the evolution of education in Nevada from the 1950s to 1980.

Oral history interview with J. David Hoggard conducted by Claytee White and unnamed interviewer on various dates in 1997, 1998, and 1999 for the Women's Research Institute of Nevada (WRIN). Hoggard discusses serving in World War II, being transferred to Nellis Air Force Base in 1945, and moving to Las Vegas, Nevada from New Jersey in 1946. He also recalls becoming one of the first African American police officers in Las Vegas, and working in the Clark County School District for 15 years. Hoggard then discusses his involvement with the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), including serving as chapter president for four years.

Oral history interview with Thomas Holder conducted by Suzanne Becker on August 08, 2006 for the UNLV @ 50 Oral History Project. In this interview Thomas Holder describes coming to the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in 1971, changes in the university, and changes in the city of Las Vegas, Nevada. He also talks about supporting First Friday, an arts event in Downtown Las Vegas, his time as the UNLV Art department chair, and working to get the art department accredited with the National Association of Schools of Art and Design.
