Roger Thomas oral history interview conducted by Stefani Evans and Claytee White on August 31, 2016 for the Building Las Vegas Oral History Project. Thomas is the Executive Vice President of Design at Wynn Design and Development. He discusses joining Wynn's design team in 1980 for The Mirage. Thomas has done interiors for all Wynn projects since, including these in Las Vegas, Nevada: Treasure Island, Bellagio, Wynn Las Vegas, and Encore Las Vegas.

He describes organizing the signature tree for The Mirage, building the Mirage volcano, taking the idea for Bellagio’s conservatory from the DuPont family’s Longwood Gardens, creating faux banyans in the Mirage atrium, creating the model for the Las Vegas Strip median, and building the mountain on Las Vegas Boulevard in front of Wynn Las Vegas to conceal the Cloud at the Fashion Show Mall.

The Sheree Downs Las Vegas, Nevada Photographs are comprised of photographs Downs took between 1976 and 1995 during visits to Las Vegas, Nevada. The photographs document the evolution of hotel and casino architecture and signage on the Las Vegas Strip and in downtown Las Vegas. Also included are photographs of various tourist attractions in Las Vegas and souvenirs from casinos.

Materials include documents and photographs about activities and events such as Premier UNLV, Homecoming, Rebels After Dark, and the Rebel Variety Show.

The Jamey Stillings Photographs (2009-2024) is primarily comprised of photographs taken by professional photographer, Jamey Stillings documenting various infrastructure projects in the region. The Mike O’Callaghan-Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge project at the Hoover Dam depicts the construction of the Mike O’Callaghan-Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge from 2009 to 2012. The Ivanpah Solar Electric Generating System project depicts aerial views of Ivanpah Solar in the Mojave Desert of California from 2010 to 2014. The Crescent Dunes Solar project consists of a range of aerial and ground-based work documenting SolarReserve's Crescent Dunes Solar near Tonopah, Nevada, from 2014 to 2015. The

The Florence McClure Photograph Collection (approximately 1985-1997) consists of color photographic prints. Images show McClure and members of the Las Vegas, Nevada Community Action Against Rape (CAAR) organization that she co-founded with Sandi Petta in 1973. Also included are images of Nevada public figures and several travel images from China.

The collection is primarily comprised of photographs shot by photo enthusiast and Congregation Ner Tamid member, Gil Shaw. Photographs primarily depict events such as annual meetings, social events, and High Holy Day services held at and by Congregation Ner Tamid from 2004 to 2014. Also included are photographs depicting the 1983 construction of Congregation Ner Tamid's new campus in Henderson, Nevada.

The Greg Cava Photograph Collection (approximately 1980 to 2003) is comprised of work created by Las Vegas, Nevada photographer Greg Cava. It includes photographs, negatives, and slides that document Las Vegas entertainment, sporting events, and hotel-casino development. The collection also includes material from Cava's time as photographer for the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) athletic events, including photographs, programs, and media guides from the UNLV basketball and football teams.
