Prize Texas Steer, branded "LBJ" was sent by Lyndon B. Johnson to be auctioned off at the Clark County Democratic Club fundraiser at Wilbur Clark's Desert Inn Country Club. The man on the left is Michael Hines, attorney and former owner of Tule Springs Ranch who was the auctioneer for the event. The man on the right is Wilbur Clark, who worked at the Desert Inn. The woman in the middle is unidentified, but may have been a singer at the Desert Inn. The steer was auctioned for $3,000.
