As stated, 3 callers identified the woman as Verna E. Ludwig. They were also able to identify the purpose of her call: to contact her son Jerald (Jim) Ludwig who was aboard the U.S.S. Vance in Antarctica for "Operation Deep Freeze." The callers' names and numbers are listed in order of call, with the first caller Verna's son, Jim.
