Oral history interview with Alma Vining conducted by Barbara Tabach, Nathalie Martinez, and Laurents Banuelos-Benitez on February 13, 2019 for the Latinx Voices of Southern Nevada Oral History Project. In this interview, Vining shares what it was like growing up as a child of Mexican immigrants. She talks about her childhood in McAllen, Texas, disclosing her experiences with racial discrimination as a child and as she grew into adulthood. She stresses the importance of education and lifelong learning in relation to her career as a teacher and school principal. Vining moved to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1972 and jumped into the community with her involvement in Nevada Association of Latin Americans (NALA) and on the television program, Minor Key. She shares her experiences earning her Master's Degree in Education at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Vining talks about her teaching career and the 30 years of experience gained in the Clark County School District.

Oral history interview with Victor Chicas conducted by Elsa Lopez on February 15, 2019 for the Latinx Voices of Southern Nevada Oral History Project. Victor Chicas describes his childhood in El Salvador, sharing what it was like to grow up before and during the Salvadoran Civil War. Victor was very involved in the politics at the time, and was frequently caught up in dangerous protests against the Salvadoran police forces. Chicas talks about his experiences protesting at his university and about the riots that happened there. Victor recounts his story of immigration, and moving to Los Angeles, California as a young man. Victor talks about the different states his family has lived in and compares them to the quality of life he has found in Las Vegas, Nevada. Chicas discusses his time working at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino and recalls his experiences working the night of the 1 October mass shooting. He shares his views on the importance of social justice and political activism, citing the shooting and his experiences as his primary reason for being an activist.

Oral history interview with Brittany Castrejon conducted by Claytee D. White and Barbara Tabach on November 9, 2017 for the Remembering 1 October Oral History Project. In this interview, Brittany Castrejon details her experiences during the evening of the 2017 mass shooting in Las Vegas, Nevada. She describes the Route 91 Harvest Festival set-up and details the events of that night, which she experienced alongside her 14-year-old cousin and a few friends. Castrejon tells her story of trying to find safety from the chaos during the entire ordeal, eventually finding refuge for the remainder of the night at the Tropicana hotel. She ends the interview by discussing her adjustment to life after the shooting and her post-traumatic stress disorder, as well as what she has learned from the experience.

Oral history interview with Gloria Caoile conducted by Vanessa Concepcion and Stefani Evans on November 18, 2021 for Reflections: The Las Vegas Asian American and Pacific Islander Oral History Project. Gloria talks about her immigration from the United States to the Philippines with her family when she was a child and how she lived there until the age of 16. She describes her upbringing and family's values that led her to pursue activism within the Asian American community. Gloria shares stories from her three decades of activism and community outreach working with the Asian Pacific American Labor Alliance, local labor unions, and other organizations to uplift Filipino Americans within Las Vegas and the United States.

Oral history interview with Agnes C. Marshall conducted by Rebecca Snetselaar on April 02, 2016 for the Folklife Program of the Nevada Arts Council and the Oral History Research Center at UNLV Libraries. Marshall begins the interview speaking about where she came from and African American culture. She explains the traditions and celebrations she participates in. Marshall also talks about food and explains how she makes some of those dishes. Lastly, she talks about gardening and her involvement within the community and neighborhood.

The Southern Nevada Governance Web Archive is comprised of archived websites captured from 2016 to 2017 that are representative of local government agencies in Southern Nevada. Cities represented in the collection include Boulder City, Henderson, Las Vegas, North Las Vegas, Mesquite, and Pahrump. The collection also includes websites for regional agencies and authorities such as the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada, the Las Vegas Valley Water District, and the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority.

Boulder Dam: The Pictorial Record of Man's Conquest of the Colorado River (1937) is a public service announcement film produced by the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation about the construction of the Hoover Dam in Boulder City, Nevada in the 1930s. Included in the collection is the original 35mm black-and-white film that was shown at the Boulder Theatre in Boulder City which was owned by donor Myron Jones's family from 1959 to 1970.
