Learned to play on a dirt court where the federal building now stands.), John Kramer (older of the two Kramer boys); Otto Kelley" Westlake ( Kelly is a nickname), one of the Aplin boys (his son is a poltgraph expert at First Interstate Bank). The cart was used to take mail from Post Office to depot by a Mexican named Angel (mail was taken up Fremont Street). One-half sack of mail a day from Las Vegas was all that was sent. Sign on the left says Shoe Shop." Physical object has a diagram included that identifies the position of the people pictured.

Harold Minsky poses with six showgirls at the Playboy Hotel. The dancers are wearing rhinestone bikini-style costumes and large feathered headdresses. The Knickerbocker has gone through several incarnations since it opened in 1927. Legend has it that in the 1930s the hotel housed a casino frequented by Al Capone. During World War II and the Korean War, US Armed Forces officers would fill the property's hallways and play cards in the Officer's Club. In 1952, Richard Nixon was nominated Vice President during the Republican National Convention held in the hotel. Finally, in the 1970s it became the Playboy Hotel, owned by Hugh Hefner. Transcribed from attached press release: "Howard Hughes, right, noted aircraft designer and industrialist is shown for the first time on the flight deck of the famed Hughes flying boat, which he designed and built. It is the largest airplane in the world. The plane is now nearing completion on Terminal Island, in Los Angeles-Long Bay Harbor, May 12, 1947." Los Angeles Harbor is now known as Long Beach Harbor, California.

Homer Ferguson, R., of Mich. Chairman of the subcommittee is shown receiving a written question from Howard Hughes the millionaire plane builder, to be put to one of the witnesses summoned to the inquiry at Hughes' request.
