Governor Russell cutting the ribbon at Scotty's Castle Road. Inscription with photo reads: "A rope held on one side by a dummy burrow [sic] and on the other side by a dummy prospector. Very western and unique. The road from Highway 95 to Scotty's Castle. Pahrump road was 'bumped' off top priority for the Castle Road, 'because Pahrump didn't warrant a road,' one of the Nye County Commissioners said."
