Oral history interview with Paul M. Lytle conducted by James Greene on December 19, 1974 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. In the interview, Lytle discusses moving to Boulder City, Nevada in 1936 to work as a Boulder (Hoover) Dam guide. Lytle also discusses his early life moving around Nevada, his family, his experiences with railroad freight cars, Boulder Highway's road conditions and roadside stores, and his service in the United States Army during World War II.

The D. C. Frazer Photograph Collection (approximately 1970-1979) consists of six black-and-white photographs of various Tonopah & Tidewater Railroad workers, engine cars, and the repair shop located in Ludlow, California from approximately the 1910s through the 1930s. All photographs are reproductions.

Oral history interview with Celesta Lowe conducted by Patrick Carlton on February 6, 2002 for the Las Vegas Rotary Club Oral History Project. Lowe begins by discussing her early life in Baker, California and her father’s role as a station agent for the Tonopah Tidewater Railroad during the 1920s and 1930s. Lowe then describes her family moving to Las Vegas, Nevada in the 1940s. Lowe chronicles the process state legislatures took to open Nevada Southern University in 1957 and her role as an administrative assistant in the main office of the school. Lowe recounts her career at Nevada Southern University, the expansion of the campus, and renaming it University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Lastly, Lowe talks about her switch from an administrative assistant to a librarian at UNLV.

The UNLV Libraries Single Item Accession Photograph Collection (approximately 1869-1999) contains photographs, postcards, negatives, and slides primarily pertaining to Southern Nevada, with a focus on Las Vegas, Nevada, collected by the University of Nevada, Las Vegas University Libraries, Special Collections and Archives. The collection primarily includes images of early Las Vegas, hotels and casinos along Fremont Street and the Strip, railroad infrastructure, local businesses, and residential neighborhoods. Also included are images of Hoover (Boulder) Dam's construction, MX Missile testing, Nevada mining camps, and the natural desert environment. Other images depict towns throughout Nevada including Boulder City, Henderson, Reno, Luning, Tonopah, Goodsprings, Delmar, Beatty, Panaca, Overton, Caliente, Logandale, and Aurora.

The B. J. Lund & Co. Account Ledgers contain account ledgers from B. J. Lund & Co. from 1907 to 1927. B. J. Lund & Co. operated out of Modena, Utah and serviced both Utah and Nevada residents. The account ledgers document items bought at B. J. Lund & Co's general store in Modena, Utah.

Oral history interview with Guy Hamblin conducted by Barry Merrell on February 22, 1975 for the Ralph Roske Oral History Project on Early Las Vegas. Hamblin discusses moving from different towns in Nevada before settling down in Southern Nevada, viewing the above-ground atomic bomb tests, early Fremont Street, and his work on the railroad. Hamblin also discusses the demographic and economic changes that he has seen in Las Vegas, Nevada.
