Scope and Contents

The Nevada Test Site Project Reports subseries focuses on the various above ground and underground tests that took place in Nevada from 1956 through 1963. There is information regarding the overall testing process and its effects on ground personnel. The specific projects are represented by a special code name, i.e., Roller Coaster, and contain statistics, characteristics of each blast, projections for future blasts, and radiation assessments. Additional census reports from the main government contractor of the test site, Reynolds Electric and Engineering Company, Inc., are also included.

Until a window was constructed to the left of the double doors, a post office was housed there, on the left side of the building’s interior. Individuals pictured are unidentified. Woman may be Clara Lee, daughter of Phi Lee.
