Tourists ride the escalator to use the pedestrian overpass connecting the Treasure Island Hotel and Casino to the Fashion Show Mall to cross Spring Mountain Road. Overpasses like this have become a popular way of keeping tourists safe and traffic flowing, but their expense and footprint make them difficult for all locations.
The unfinished Fountainbleau project sits on the north end of the Las Vegas Strip as seen from the Stratosphere Tower. The three-billion dollar project that began in 2007, fell on hard times and at 70% completion has been left untouched.
A fisherman floats on a kayak in the private pond that gives The Lakes its name. Built in the 1980s, The Lakes is one of the last development's with a manmade lake as its feature.
