Longtime Las Vegas broadcaster Robert D. "Bob" Fisher works during the taping of his weekly radio show "America's Diabetes Hour" broadcast from the Beasley Group's 2920 S Durango Drive location on KDWN AM 720. Fisher came to Las Vegas in 1992 to become the founding president and CEO of the Nevada Broadcasters Association (NVBA). He held that position for 22 years.

Abstract

Roundtable interview with the Southern Nevada Regional Housing Authority (SNRHA) conducted by Claytee D. White and Jason Solorzano on April 9 and 10, 2025 for the African Americans in Las Vegas: An Oral History Project. In this interview, fifteen members of the SNRHA discuss the history of the organization, various programs and housing types available, job programs, and services that are available for families in Las Vegas. Interviewees include Dora LaGrande, Elisa Luevanos, Essie Williams, Daniel Chaidez, Frank Stafford, Danny Avila, Trina Erwin, Jarrett Erwin, Fiournida Vllas-Morgdo, Lewis Jordan, Dion Enriquez, Fred Haron, Eugene Ortega, Rhouda Jackson, and Angela White. Abstract

The University of Nevada, Las Vegas School of Nursing Records (1950-2025) contain records documenting the history of the UNLV School of Nursing. The materials include records from the nursing school's Alumni Association, including financial reports, bylaws, correspondence, and membership information; recruitment materials from the School of Nursing, including brochures, photographs, and program requirements; history of the School of Nursing, including photographs, newspaper clippings, a short summary of the program, and a short documentary film comprised of digital video files; and accreditation information, including newspaper articles, accreditation reports, and evaluations of the program from the Nevada State Board. The materials also include nursing student uniforms, caps, and nursing capes from the 1950s and 1960s.
