Description
Local news reports on an armed robbery at the Stardust Hotel and Casino. Two individuals robbed a casino cage and set off two smoke bombs in an attempt to escape, at the time of the reports the suspects were not caught, and police were searching for the suspects. Footage of the police going door-to-door in the Budget Suites Motel behind the Stardust that they believe the suspects are hiding in. Footage includes witnesses interviewed, as well as casino guests, descriptions of the suspects, and police arresting someone. Original media VHS, color, aspect ratio 4 x 3, frame size 720 x 486. Abstract

The Binion's Horseshoe Casino Records on Poker (1960-2006) are composed of materials related to the World Series of Poker (WSOP) held at Binion's Horseshoe Casino. Publicity and promotional materials include press releases and press kits, newspaper and advertising clippings, photographs, advertising campaigns, and advertising copy. These records were mainly generated by the Binion press agent, Henri Bollinger. Other topics covered in the collection include the establishment of the Poker Hall of Fame, and promotional and publicity efforts by Binion's Horseshoe in the 1970s and 1980s.
