Ives, J. C.
Soldier and explorer Joseph Christmas Ives graduated from the United States Military Academy in 1852. In 1855, he married Cora Semmes Ives. From 1857 to 1858, Ives commanded an expedition to explore up the Colorado River to the lower end of the Grand Canyon. He then crossed the desert to Fort Defiance in Colorado. The Ives expedition produced one of the important early maps of the Grand Canyon. Ives served in the American Civil War for the Confederate Army and was promoted to aide-de-camp, with the rank of colonel.

Krolak, Betty
In 1962, Elizabeth "Betty" Krolak moved from the Midwest to Las Vegas with her husband and six children. She attended a real estate class her husband had enrolled in but was unable to complete. Betty passed the test and became a licensed Nevada real estate broker in October, 1963. She initially went to work for Pyramid Realty, and in 1964, she opened her own office, Clark County Realty. She was appointed by Governor Michael O'Callahan to the State of Nevada's Real Estate Commission, making her the first woman to serve on the Commission.

Kaye, Danny

His performances featured physical comedy, idiosyncratic pantomimes and rapid-fire novelty songs. Kaye starred in 17 movies, notably Wonder Man (1945), The Kid from Brooklyn (1946), The Secret Life of Walter Mitty (1947), The Inspector General (1949), Hans Christian Andersen (1952), White Christmas (1954) and The Court Jester (1956).
