Description
Senator George Malone standing next to Gimick the horse in the desert in Nevada. The postcard caption reads: "Senator Malone and "Gimick," one of the top roping and dogging horses west of the Rockies. Gimick has to stand on his tiptoes to be 14 " hands high-weighs 1,050 pounds and on the "getaway" the third jump he is going as fast as he is ever going to go. The Senator gets a calf about every second or third throw."

Fox, Jerry, 1937-

Jerry Fox (1937- ) is a Las Vegas, Nevada businessman who owned Foxy Dog restaurant, several gift shops, Lasting Memories camera company, and Vegas Threadz wholesale embroidery company. He was born December 29, 1937, to Abe and Ellena Fox in Los Angeles, California. The Fox family moved to Las Vegas in February 1955, where Abe opened Foxy’s Delicatessen, the city’s first Jewish deli. After graduating from Las Vegas High School in 1956, Jerry Fox worked at Foxy's Deli for about ten years.

Night scene taken from 2nd and Fremont Street. Postcard addressed to Mrs. Ester Fajardo in Denver. Handwritten message on back reads: "Honey- arrived here in Nevada (Las Vegas) ahead of time. It has been raining dogs and cats all day. We had a terrible time. We are heading for Los Angeles tonite. Did not go through Salt Lake City we went through Provo Utah. So long, Al."
