Jessica Anderson oral history interview: transcript
Oral history interview with Jessica Anderson conducted by Claytee D. White on March 7, 2019 for the Remembering 1 October Oral History Project. Anderson begins talking about her early life, family, work history, and the reason why she had moved to Las Vegas, Nevada in 1991. She goes on to talk about the history of Outdoors Nevada where she currently works, and what she was doing the day of October 1, 2017. Anderson recalls how she found out about the shooting, reaching out to friends, and learning more about what happened that night. Anderson talks about the aftermath of the event, how it affected everyone involved, and the healing aspect afterwards. Lastly, she describes the process of creating the Healing Garden, the features of the garden, and the future plans for the area.

Yvanna Cancela oral history interview: transcript
Oral history interview with Yvanna Cancela conducted by Monserrath Hernández and Barbara Tabach on February 27, 2020 for the Latinx Voices of Southern Nevada Oral History Project. Yvanna Cancela, Nevada State Senator, discusses her personal history growing up in Miami, Florida and her studies at Northwestern University. She talks of working for Senator Harry Reid's campaign in Las Vegas, which led to her organizing efforts for the Culinary Workers Union Local 226. Yvanna recalls being appointed to the Nevada State Senate in 2016 as the first female state senate majority. In addition to fulfilling her duties as the Co-Majority Whip, she worked on the Joe Biden campaign and is the Executive Director of the Citizenship Project. After this interview was conducted, Yvanna received her Juris Doctorate from the William S. Boyd School of Law at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Chester R. Longwell Professional Papers
The Chester R. Longwell Professional Papers (1886-1974) document Longwell's professional career as a geologist and his pioneering field work in Clark County, Nevada. Included are Longwell's field notes; manuscripts, articles and speeches related to geology; personal and business correspondence; professional publications; subject and name files; specimen tags; photographic prints, negatives, and slides; and geological and topographical maps, primarily of Nevada, California, Arizona, and Utah.

Sin Sity Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence Records
The Sin Sity Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence Records (2005-2025) contain organizational records of the Sin Sity Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, an LGBTQ+ charity and advocacy organization in Las Vegas, Nevada. The records include agendas and meeting minutes, financial records, press material, awards, and certificates of appreciation for the organization. Also included are financial records for the organization's annual Red Dress charity fundraiser and the Sisters AIDS Drug Assistance Program (SADAP), the grant fund that provides financial assistance to AIDS/HIV patients. Materials also include photographs of the Sin Sity Sisters at events including their annual Red Dress gala.
