Tosha Tousant oral history interview [CLOSED]

In this interview, Tosant discusses their work at various casinos including Players International Lake Charles, Harrah's Lake Charles, Harrah's New Orleans, Horseshoe Cleveland, and Flamingo Las Vegas.

Joan Gordon Family Films
The Joan Gordon Family Films (approximately 1930-1939) consist of two color 16mm films from the 1930s which feature Benjamin "Bugsy" Siegel and his daughters in a swimming pool in Los Angeles, California and other locations in Southern California. Also included are two reproductions of black-and-white photographs featuring Esther, Milicent, and Barbara Siegel along with Joan Gordon, her sister and mother. Joan Gordon grew up in Los Angeles, California and her family was neighbors with Benjamin and Esther Siegel and their daughters Millicent and Barbara.

Collection is comprised of posters collected by the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) Special Collections and Archives from 1974 to 2010. The collection primarily includes posters about events and exhibits hosted by UNLV Special Collections and Archives. Also included are posters for other UNLV events including: theatrical events, sporting events, colloquiums, choral productions, and events where UNLV was a partner.

David Rohn oral history interview
Oral history interview with David Rohn conducted by David G. Schwartz on October 20, 2016 for the Slot Operations Oral History Project. Rohn discusses working in arcades and slots within properties such as Wildhorse Resort and Casino, and Midnight Rose Hotel and Casino. He then provides his philosophy on what he believes customers are looking for in casinos, and how slot operations have changed over time, particularly through ticket-in ticket-out and the use of free play.

Juan Saa oral history interview
Oral history interview with Juan Saa conducted by David G. Schwartz on November 21, 2016 for the Slot Operations Oral History Project. Saa discusses his start in the technical side and his eventual move into an operational role in the casino industry. He talks about his experience as a director, specifically the responsibilities involved, and the type of staff being supervised. Saa then describes what he believes are the biggest changes in the slot industry, specifically with ticket-in, ticket-out (TITO); and slot analysis.

Saul Wesley oral history interview
Oral history interview with Saul Wesley conducted by David Schwartz on January 13, 2017 for the Slot Operations Oral History Project. Wesley discusses the distinction between the roles of a director and of a vice president in slot management. He also describes how the slot department works within various casinos such as the MGM Grand Hotel (now Bally’s) and the Monte Carlo Hotel and Casino.
