Wieking, Henry C., 1906-1998
Henry C. Wieking was born January 5, 1906 in Alameda, California. He worked as a draftsman in Oakland, California until 1929, when the United States Bureau of Reclamation hired Wieking to work in Las Vegas, Nevada. He moved to Las Vegas in approximately September of 1929, and he worked on the construction of Hoover Dam (Boulder Dam) and the reconstruction of the Las Vegas Mormon Fort. Wieking died May 25, 1998 in Pleasant Hill, California.

Clarke, Angela, 1932-
Dr. Angela Clarke was born into a very large family in 1932 in Baltimore, Maryland. She joined the women's Air Force and sfter completing her service tour, she went to college on the G.I. Bill.
Among her many awards, she was given a plaque for integrating Air Force swimming pools. After the Air Force, she attended Morgan State College and the University of Maryland.

On November 30, 1986, collector Patton Alberti interviewed Ruby Canonic Leavitt (born 1907 in Genoa, Nevada) at her home in Reno, Nevada. Mrs. Leavitt discusses her time as a teacher in Verdi, Nevada, as well as other places in Northern Nevada. She also discusses the changes she has seen in teaching and in the towns she has lived in over time.
