The Ladies Auxiliary and the American War Mothers are non-profit organizations that assist in providing support and services to veterans and active service members. This material was formerly known as the Luanna Mitchell Collection.

The Veterans' Voices: We're Listening Oral History Project (2021-2024) contains fifty interviews conducted by members of two UNLV entities, the Women’s Research Institute of Nevada (WRIN) and the Military & Veteran Services Center (MVSC). UNLV is nationally recognized as a Military Friendly School, and this project contains interviews spanning all branches and eras of the U.S. military and include a representative cross-section of the diversity of Veterans.
