Total cuhie feet of water purchased:- D uring January,February and March 1929,.there were 7,184,806 cubic feet of water purchased, as reflected in Ledger Account #78, General Balance Sheet, December 31, 1929. Bffectiv© April 1st, the purchase of water ceased and this Company started paying rent for use of pipe line and other railroad facilities as covered by La&SL Contract, Audit Ho. 7322. Important changes during the years* (a) December 1st, 1929, for consideration of #1,00, we took possession of water mains formerly operated by the Park- view Mutual Water Company. This change was made to facilitate handling of these mains, as the Parkview Mutual Water Company, which was a non-profit organization (furnishing water at actual cost) was at that time required to install meters. The cost of same being approximately #450.00, while they operated only760 feet of pipe line. (b) During this time, new agreements were executed with abutting sub-divisions on the basis of meter rates in lieu of flat rate. (c) A new 24* cast iron pipe line connecting with the new reservoir (which are railroad property) were completed.
