Fort Mojave, Ariz January 28 The Honorable Commissioner of Indian Affairs Washington D.C. Sir: I have the honor to request the proper authority to enable use to abolish (for the present fiscal year) the position of carpenter at [not legible] school, and create in its stead the position of Industrial Teacher. This [not legible] is rendered necessary by the enormous amount of labor that must be spent on the school farm we are just starting. The [not legible] has got to be cleared and leveled, ditches dug [not legible] [not legible], fences to [not legible], etc. etc. I have [not legible] but Indian assistants.
