From the Nye County, Nevada Photograph Collection (PH-00221) -- Series VII. Other areas in Nye County -- Subseries VII.E. Hawkins Family (Duckwater, Nevada). On the back of this photo is written: "Around 1912 or 1911.". Branding cattle on the Holstead ranch, located about 4 miles north of the Irwin ranch, Duck Water, Nevada. Frank Roberts, dressed in a white shirt, is holding down the cow. Frank Vanover is branding the cow and Abe Collins is riding the white horse. Rider on the left is not identified.
