L&8 Vegas - March f f f assistant W 83-3-3^^ ^ 1942 LOS ANGi.LiiS, CALIF. O F F IC E o f Mr. Frank Strong, Vice President, LVL&W 0o., Los Angeles, California. Bear Sir: In cheeking over Railroad water facilities at lias Vegas today, it was suggested that a spotlight he installed on cupola of reservoir, so watchman can operate it to various portions of the grounds whenever hie suspicions are aroused, this need not be a floodlight but a spot that would reach to the settling basin, operated with hand lever and cogs to turn the light in this direction. It is also considered desirable to have a telephone connection for emergency use of the watchmen, this should be connected to Railroad switchboard, rather than to city board. In the interest of keeping the watchmen we now have employed there, probably an electric light line could also be dropped from the present power line to their tent. Probably this work could be handled at the time other work is being done at the reservoir, Installing booster pump, etc. lours very truly eo - fir. w. H. Guild
