From the Nye County, Nevada Photograph Collection (PH-00221) -- Series VII. Other areas in Nye County -- Subseries VII.F. Lowe Family. This photo was taken by a newspaper reporter from Los Angeles who came to Shoshone and wrote a spectacular article on the many people that Fairbanks had rescued from perishing in Death Valley, and other exploits.
