Said water main shall be constructed of 6” and ${1 cast iron pipe and shall be in accordance with AWWA specifications. All joints shall be cement and all pipe shall be new B & S cast iron, equal to AWWA Class 150. All fittings shall be new, all bell cast iron equal to AWWA Class 150, and all valve boxes shall be of cast iron of appropriate size for each valve. Unless otherwise provided by the approval of a duly authorized representative of the Company, all pipes, valves and fittings shall be manufactured by Pacific States Cast Iron Pipe Company or Mueller Company. All pipe lines shall be chlorinated in accordance with AWWA specifica­tions, shall tie. subject to the approval and acceptance of State and City Health Authorities, and shall be constructed at an ele­vation to be designated by a duly authorized representative of the Company, but in no event shall there be less then 3 6 ” of cover­ing /over such water: mains.
