VARIANCE APPLICATIONS Public Hearing Howard Burgess This being the time set for the public hearing on the denial of the application of Howard Bur­gess for variances to permit the following uses: 1) Construct and maintain a dormitory for men at 213 North 2nd Street. 2) Construct and maintain a trailer park north of Bonanza Road, south of Marble Manor and His Honor asked if there was anyone present who wished to protest these applications for vari­ance. Mrs. Alice Buntin, Mr. W.W. Cantrell and Mrs. Mary Nettles voiced their objections to the constru­ction of a dormitory at 213 North 2nd Street. Howard W. Cannon, property owner in this area, stated that he was not opposed to the construction of a dormitory at this location. Thereafter the matter was referred to Commissioners Bunker and Jarrett for investigation and re­commendation. Commissioner Bunker moved the applications of Howard Burgess to construct and maintain a dormi­tory for men at 213 North 2nd and a trailer park north of Bonanza Road, south of Marble Manor and west of H Street be deferred until June 17, 1953. Motion seconded by Commissioner Jarrett and carried by the following vote: Commissioners Bunker, Jarrett, Whipple and His Honor voting aye; noes, none. Absent: Commissioner Peccole.
