Water for ice plant, Las Vegas. Los Angeles, Cal., Aug. 14, 1905. File 613. Mr. A. L. Jones, Division Engineer, Las Vegas, Nev. Dear Sir: Will you please to issue strict instructions that if the water at any time has to be turned off from the supply going to the ice plant that at least 15 or 20 minutes notice be given to the super- intendent of the ice plant. This is very important. If the water is turned off without the ice people being noti- fied and they should continue running their engines without the supply of water which is necessary for the cooling of the jackets, there is great danger of an explosion occurring. For our own protection, the notice of intention to turn off the water supply should be given the superintendent of the ice plant in writing. Yours truly, Chief Engineer. EGT-LRT
