si IV Vi I Las Vegas, Vetmda, Mar. 30, 1931, Proposed increase in water Rates- Las Vegas, Mr, F, l, BeMesiee, I a® enclosing herewith a copy of new schedule ©f rates, which has been worked up by Hr, Bracken*® office, X «a also enclosing a statement showing the estimate of revenue that would he derived from this rate schedule from the collections made during Leeember, 1930, and also a statement showing the expanse* of Las Vegas Land and Water C«*pasyrs water facilities for the year 1930 based on a $300,000 valuation of water. You will see the services based, upon the new rates would produce an annual revenue of $47,510.00, while the expenses for the year 1930 amounted to $49,454*00, leaving a deficit of bomb $1900<*00, but I an informed that the collections have increased about $35,00 per month since December, 1930, that is there are some fifteen or twenty new services being Installed each month, and it is expected that by the end of this year the annual revenue, if based os the new schedule, will be more than $2300 in excess of the revenue for the year 1930, while the expenses will be no larger. You will notice on the expense statement that it is computed at S> and at our conference in Los Angeles we spoke about &fa Interest, this difference of about 6$ would amount to $5000 per year, but if the business increases as it has' the last few months, such increase will more than take care of this expense increase, If you think we should have another conference wish you would suggest a time and we will come down and talk it over. Would like to have it some time around the 13th of April, as we are pretty well tied up here. I Leo A, KoWame*
