Photograph of a meeting held by the Salvation Army asking individuals from the local community for funding. This meeting is being held in the compound of a local Japanese community center that is now a city hall in California. This original Japanese community center was established by the LA, SL, and the San Pedro Railroad Company and was able to house up to one hundred people. Some identified individuals are first row: Henry Sakai, Frank Sakai, Nanyu Tomiyasu, Murata, Kiyo Tomiyasu, Alice Sakai, Uwamie, Mabel Sakai.
