June 5, 1945 Honorable Alfred Merritt Smith State Engineer Carson City, Nevada Dear Sir: This refers to the contemplated hearing by your office of the protest filed by the Las Yegas Land & Water against the application of Robert B. Griffith No. 11077, and of the protest filed by Robert B, Griffith against the application of Las Yegas Land & Water Company No. 11249. Each of the protestants above named, through their respective attorneys Leo A. MeNamee, acting for and on behalf of Las Yegas Land 8c Water Company, and. Messrs. Ham and Taylor, acting for and on behalf of Robert B. Griffith; have mutually agreed to withdraw each of said protests, and said withdrawal will be formally made Tuesday, June 12, 1945, immediately before the hearing scheduled for said day on said protests. Inasmuch as a representative from your office will be here at that time, it is the desire of the parties to said application to discuss the water situation at Las Yegas with said representative,but no evidence will be introduced by either of said protestants in connection with said protests.
