Los Angeles, April 5, 1950 20-334-1 Mr. W. C. Perkins: CC: Mr. Wm. Reinhardt - LA Mr. F. C. Paulsen - SL Mr. E. R. Miller- Omaha Mr. A. M. Folger - LV With reference to your letter March 26, 1950 file LA-20-6 relative production and consumption of water at Las Vegas: It not our intention to indicate we had correspondence from the State Engineer in connection with metering the wells and springs at Las Vegas. However, permits issued by the State for quasi municipal use of water includes the provision that wells must be equipped with meters and in view of study being made at that time at Las Vegas in connection with wastage of water, we anticipated that we might be called upon to meter springs and wells. D. F. Wengert
