Dear Sir* Referring 4© your letter of October first regarding land desired by lohn L. Russell. In checking up the map, it shows that Mr. Russell1s acre­age is north instead of west of our property line and that the land he desires is south instead of east of his present holdings. the Chief Engineer, in checking this up, shows that there is something more than twenty acres in the piece of ground if it is desired that he secure all which lies north of the wagon road to the quarter section line# Do t understand that this is what he wants? fhi6 will ms,he the southern portion of the ground an irregular shape.
