The o r d e r t o stop th e work s h a l l be made in w r i t i n g , sig n e d by th e E n gin eer and d e l i v e r e d t o th e C o n t r a c to r , o r i n th e case o f th e C o n t r a c t o r 's absence t o some person on th e work r e p r e s e n t in g th e C o n t r a c to r , a t l e a s t days p r i o r t o th e d a te when such o r d e r s h a l l tak e e f f e c t . S e c t i o n 1 17. SUSPENSION OF WORK FOR OVER THIRTY DAYS. I t i s f u r t h e r agreed th a t i n case o f a t o t a l suspension o f work under t h i s c o n t r a c t a r i s i n g from no f a u l t , f a i l u r e or c o l l u s i o n on th e p a r t o f th e C o n tr a c to r and c o n tin u in g f o r a lo n g e r p e r io d than t h i r t y (3 0 ) days, u nless such suspension s h a l l have been caused by unusual w eather c o n d i t i o n s , o r i n case th e f o r c e employed on th e work should be dim in ish ed f o r a lo n g e r p e r io d than t h i r t y days i n accordance w ith i n s t r u c t i o n s o f th e E n g in e e r, th e E n gin eer s h a l l make f i n a l e s tim a te o f th e amount and v a lu e o f a l l work done and m a t e r ia ls fu r n is h e d a c c o rd in g t o th e terms o f t h i s c o n t r a c t , and th e amount then found t o be due, t o g e t h e r w ith a l l r e t a i n e d p e r c e n ta g e s , ex c e p t as h e r e in o t h e r ­w is e p r o v id e d , s h a l l be p a id t o th e C o n t r a c to r .
